The Southwest Zonal Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has met with the chieftains of the party: Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan, Nureni Akanbi, Jogor and other aggrieved chieftains whose claims centered on how they were used and dumped by Engr Seyi Makinde, shortly after he became the Governor of Oyo State.
Arapaja’s visit to the residence of Olopoeyan in Ibadan, the capital of the pacesetter state, today, Tuesday, July 13 was said to have been orchestrated by the moves to end the crisis and reunite the aggrieved chieftains with the Governor and party at large.
It would be recalled that some of the aggrieved chieftains in PDP have fallen apart with Governor Seyi Makinde, sequel to allegation of highhandedness, autocracy and other oppressive styles that Makinde is employing to administering the party and state at large.
The cold war between them had recently led to factional meeting at Jogor Centre in Ibadan where those who are not pleased with the Governor filled the venue to capacity.
Same situation and unending imbroglio had equally given birth to creation of factional secretariat of the party at Bodija Area in Ibadan.
