Ibadan, Oyo State – The Onido of Ido, Oba Muritala Gbolagade Babalola, has publicly commended the Member representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni, for his consistent empowerment of constituents and unprecedented support for traditional institutions across Ibadanland.
Oba Babalola made the commendation on Monday, June 29, 2026, during a farmers’ empowerment programme held at the Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF) Office, Ologuneru, Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State, where Hon. Remi Oseni distributed modern farm tools and chemicals to thousands of farmers.
“I congratulate all the good people of Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency. We are enjoying Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni. All of us in Ibadanland are enjoying Remi Oseni,” the monarch declared.
In a revelation that underscores Hon. Aderemi Abass Oseni’s influence, the Onido disclosed that provincial kings across rural Ibadanland receive ₦20 million monthly from the federal lawmaker. “I can boldly tell you that all the kings of the rural areas, provincial kings in Ibadanland, are collecting ₦20 million from Hon. Aderemi Abass Oseni every month. So, we have to appreciate him for what he has been doing for us, Ibadanland, and Oyo State at large,” he stated.
Oba Babalola noted that there is no local government in Ibadanland that Hon. Remi Oseni, who also chairs the House Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) and is the APC candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District in 2027, has not impacted.
“This sitting will be the third or fourth time we would gather here to join Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni in distributing the dividends of democracy to the good people of Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency,” the royal father recalled.
He referenced a previous empowerment where Hon. Remi Oseni distributed eight trailers of fertilizer to farmers in his constituency. “Some people came here with the thought that perhaps this man wanted to sell the fertilizer. But we who surround him knew he would not sell it; he would distribute it to his constituents. And when we were here at his ROCOF Office then, we discovered it was shared among his constituents,” Oba Babalola explained.
Describing the farm tools being distributed as “very costly,” the monarch prayed that beneficiaries would use them for good purposes. “Whoever is doing good should be rewarded with good. If you are not into politics and you don’t know how to vote, learn how to pray,” he admonished.
He urged community leaders and Baales present to teach farmers how to properly use the tools, noting that usage instructions had already been demonstrated. “I pray it will be beneficial and profitable for them in the name of God. And to the person that facilitated it, I pray we will not cry over you. God will continue to elevate and promote Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni,” the Onido prayed.
Dignitaries present at the event included the Alapete of Apete, Oba Raheem Bolarinwa Idowu; Alakinyele of Akinyele, Oba James Oluyemi Odeniran; Onilalupon of Lalupon, Oba Muniru Adekunle Arigbabuwo; former Oyo South Senatorial Chairman of the APC and state leader, Alhaji Abdul-Majeed Olaoya; APC candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Hon. Niyi Yusuf; representatives of community leaders, and other stakeholders.
Hon. Oseni, a strong ally of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has consistently linked his empowerment programmes to the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes food security and grassroots development across all 774 local government areas.
