According to Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the raid followed a credible tip-off received last Saturday. Acting swiftly on the information, officers stormed the location and apprehended the alleged ringleader, 35-year-old Mariam Vincent, along with two accomplices, Orie Ruth (23) and Ujunwa Ifeanyi (18). During the raid, the police found and rescued seven adult women and three children aged seven, five, and two.

The adult victims were identified as Precious (24), Magdalene (25), Adaobi (23), Princess (22), Ifeanyi (25), and Amaka (26), while the rescued children are Destiny (7), Miracle (5), and Success (2). All the rescued victims are currently receiving adequate care and support. The police have confirmed that the suspects confessed to kidnapping the victims from various locations across the state to operate the illegal baby factory.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the suspects are expected to be charged in court soon.
