Nigeria stands at the dawn of a new economic epoch. Three years into the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the dividends of courageous reform are no longer projections, they are measurable, visible, and undeniable.

From the capital market to crude oil production, from local refining to foreign direct investment, the narrative of Nigeria has shifted from perpetual potential to deliberate performance.

Hon. Engr. Dr. Aderemi Abas Oseni, Member Representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Chairman House Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), and APC Candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District in the 2027 elections, has commended President Tinubu for this historic turnaround. According to Hon. Oseni, “The foresight, courage, and conviction of President Tinubu are today translating into prosperity for Nigerians. This is the Nigeria we promised, and this is the Nigeria we are building.”

This appraisal synthesizes verified national developments with Hon. Remi Oseni’s political assessment, demonstrating how strategic leadership is repositioning Nigeria for global competitiveness and inclusive growth.

Under President Tinubu’s administration, the Nigerian Exchange has recorded one of the most remarkable bull runs in emerging market history. “The All Share Index rose from 52,973.88 points in May 2023 to 250,385.47 points in May 2026, a 372.66% surge.

Market capitalization expanded from N28.845 trillion in 2023 to N160.509 trillion in 2026, representing a gain of N131.66 trillion.

Investors earned N107.5 trillion in capital gains within three years. In 2025, the NGX delivered a 51.19% return, outperforming the S&P 500, FTSE 100, and several BRICS+ markets. President Tinubu himself noted that Nigeria has evolved “from an overlooked frontier market into a prime destination for value-driven investment”.

Hon. Remi Oseni described this as evidence of restored investor confidence. “While some nations struggle with stagnation, Nigeria’s market is booming because the policies are right. This is why I saw early that President Tinubu’s reforms would work, and why I promised one million votes from Oyo State come 2027, the people will reward performance”

The oil and gas sector, long constrained by theft, vandalism, and underinvestment, is experiencing a renaissance. Total oil output including condensates reached 1.735 million bpd in June 2026 — the highest level in over six years and the fourth consecutive month of growth. Crude production alone hit 1.56 million bpd, 4% above Nigeria’s 1.5 million bpd OPEC quota.

Dangote Refinery exported 466,000 metric tonnes of jet fuel to Europe in June, valued at ₦757 billion, double May’s volume. For the first time, Nigeria overtook the United States to become Europe’s largest supplier of jet fuel. The same refinery exported 1.66 billion litres of refined products in April alone. Nigeria is now a net petrol exporter for the first time in decades.

ExxonMobil signed a $1 billion commitment for the Usan oilfield offshore, its first major drilling in nearly ten years. The project will add 40,000 bpd within 18 months, with Chevron, TotalEnergies, and a Chinese partner also participating.

Hon. Remi Oseni notes; “This is what happens when a country decides to build instead of beg. One refinery, one decision, and Europe is now buying jet fuel from Nigeria instead of America. Capital does not move on sentiment, it moves on opportunity and under President Tinubu, the opportunity is real.”

President Tinubu’s reforms, removal of fuel subsidy, unification of forex windows, and monetary tightening were initially painful but are now yielding structural gains.

Inflation fell to 14.45% in November 2025 from 34.8% in December 2024, with projections below 10% before end of 2026. External reserves approached $50 billion, with a current account surplus of $16 billion in 2024 projected to rise to $18.81 billion in 2026.

The administration cleared N4 trillion in power sector debts and is expanding transmission capacity. Over 2,700 km of roads are under construction or rehabilitation, the highest at any one time in Nigeria’s history.

“These are not accidents,” Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni stated. “They are the result of decisions, reforms, and risk that somebody had to take. The foundation for recovery has been laid.”

Beyond economics, the administration’s focus on inclusive growth is evident. Government is expanding healthcare capacity and access to renewable energy as reflected in this week’s national development agenda. Security operations have intensified against armed groups, with measurable gains despite ongoing challenges.

Hon. Remi Oseni specifically congratulated President Tinubu on the successful rescue of the Oriire kidnapped school children and teachers, a demonstration that governance must protect lives as it builds prosperity.

Hon. Engr. Dr. Aderemi Abas Oseni’s endorsement is rooted in both principle and performance. As a legislator and grassroots mobilizer, he represents the bridge between policy and people.

His promise of one million votes for President Tinubu in Oyo State in 2027 is not rhetorical. It is a political calculation based on observable results: jobs in the refinery value chain, forex inflow reducing pressure on the naira, increased federal allocations to states from improved public finances, and renewed national pride.

“Nigeria is gaining momentum,” Hon. Remi Oseni affirmed. “Investment and investors are coming to Nigeria. The dividend of democracy is coming up. This is why leadership matters, and this is why Oyo South and indeed Oyo State will stand with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.”

The data and the lived experience align: Nigeria is stabilizing, growing, and competing.

From overtaking South Korea’s market performance in investor returns, to becoming a net exporter of refined products, to attracting billion-dollar FDI commitments, the Tinubu administration has converted difficult choices into durable gains.

Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni’s commendation reflects a broader national sentiment: that Nigerians are ready to reward courage with continuity.
