Hon. Engr. Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni, who is also the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District in the 2027 general elections, described the engagement with Islamic leaders as both humbling and strategic to building a united and prosperous Oyo South.

The meeting brought together highly revered Islamic leaders, Imams, Alfas, and faithful drawn from across the nine Local Government Areas of Oyo South Senatorial District.

Expressing gratitude, Hon. Oseni said: “I sincerely appreciate your prayers, trust and steadfast belief in our shared vision for a better Nigeria, Oyo State and Oyo South Senatorial District. This gathering is both humbling and inspiring.”

He described the Muslim Ummah as a critical pillar of peace, moral guidance and community development whose partnership is essential for sustainable governance.

“Public service, to me, has always been about people. It is about listening, building bridges, touching lives and ensuring that every community has a voice in government,” he stated.

Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots-driven governance, legislation and programmes that will improve access to quality education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, youth and women empowerment, and economic opportunities.

He stressed that his representation will be devoid of bias, assuring constituents of quality representation regardless of religion, ethnicity or political affiliation.

The APC Senatorial candidate also reiterated his support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, whom he described as “my father, leader and mentor.”

According to him, the federal government is making deliberate efforts to rebuild critical infrastructure, expand access to quality healthcare, and open the doors of higher education through the NELFUND student loan programme.

“Across the country, we are witnessing bold steps to strengthen agriculture, stabilise the economy and implement reforms aimed at securing a more prosperous future for every Nigerian,” Hon. Oseni noted.

“While there is still work to be done, these policies are laying the foundation for lasting national growth and development.”

Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni charged leaders and members of the Muslim Ummah to remain united and continue to support one another for the progress of their communities and the nation at large.

“Our responsibility at this moment is to remain united, support one another and continue to work together for the progress of our communities and our nation,” he said.

“I have no doubt that, with faith, unity and purposeful leadership, Oyo South will continue to set the pace as a model of inclusive development and shared prosperity.”

The meeting concluded with prayers for peace, progress and divine guidance.
