The management of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, has condemned it in totality, the attack on the Chairman, Oyo State Sports Council, Honourable Gbenga Adewusi Arole by hoodlums, after Sunday’s NPFL matchday 29 clash between the club and MFM of Lagos.
The hoodlums had attempted to unleash mayhem at the arena, threatening to destroy facilities at the arena but were disallowed from carrying out their threats by the management of the Oyo State Sports Council, led by Honourable Adewusi and the management of the Oyo State Football Association.
Reacting to the sad development, the management of the Oluyole Warriors, frowned on the attack on the Sports Council boss by the hoodlums, after the encounter which ended in a 1-1 draw, more so that the incident occurred, hours after the match had ended.
“We condemned in totality, the unlawful acts of some hoodlums, who attacked the Chairman of the Oyo State Sports Council, Honourable Gbega Adewusi Arole, after our game against MFM last Sunday.
“We state here unequivocally, that such barbaric acts by those involved, were uncalled for and unnecessary as the attack was carried out on the chairman, who was trying to stop them from vandalising properties at the Lekan Salami Stadium”.
