IBADAN, Oyo State — In a rare demonstration of unity across trade, political, and security lines, the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Chief Dr. Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, alongside her Senior Special Assistant, Hon. Olaide Oladeebo Mutiu popularly known as “Okadigbo”, the Anointed APC Candidate for Lagos State House of Assembly, Agege Constituency 02, on Thursday held a strategic security meeting in Oyo State with High Chief Sunday Majasola Adeyemo, widely known as Sunday Igboho, and the leader of “Iru Ekun” Security Outfit.

The meeting focused exclusively on the security strategy and immediate rescue of schoolchildren abducted from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, with all parties agreeing that the protection of children and rural communities must transcend politics, region, and trade.

Chief Dr. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo condemned the abduction in the strongest terms, speaking on behalf of market women and mothers nationwide. “When our children are taken, our markets are empty. No mother should sleep with fear. This must stop,” the Iyaloja General stated.

She stressed that the safety of children is directly tied to economic stability, noting that fear in rural communities disrupts farming, trading, and schooling. The Iyaloja General called for urgent, coordinated action to secure borders, rural schools, and highways across the Southwest.

Following extensive deliberations, the three leaders reached key resolutions:

1. *Integrated Security Response*: Government security forces, community vigilance groups, and intelligence networks must work in concert to track, locate, and rescue the abducted children of Orire LG without delay.

2. *Protection of Rural Assets*: Borders, rural schools, and vulnerable communities require urgent reinforcement through joint patrols, intelligence sharing, and early-warning systems involving traditional institutions and community security outfits.

3. *Message To Abductors*: The leaders issued a direct message to the kidnappers: “Release the Oriire children now, unharmed. Their parents, teachers, and Nigeria are watching.”

High Chief Sunday Igboho, who has consistently championed community-led security across Yorubaland, reaffirmed his commitment to the safety of every child in the region.

“Yoruba land will not be ruled by fear. The children of Oriire will be found and returned. We will not negotiate with bloodshed,” Sunday Igboho declared during the meeting. He pledged that his security network, “Iru Ekun”, would continue to work alongside conventional security agencies to provide local intelligence, terrain knowledge, and rapid response capacity until every child is accounted for.

He emphasized that community security structures remain vital in complementing federal security operations, especially in rural and border areas where quick response is critical.

Hon. Olaide Oladeebo Mutiu “Okadigbo”, SSA to the Iyaloja General and APC candidate for Agege Constituency 02, committed to translating the resolutions into legislative action at the Lagos State House of Assembly.

“Agege 02 feels the pain of Oriire because pain knows no boundary. If elected, my first duty will be to make sure our children can go to school without fear and our mothers can trade without tears. Security is not politics, it is duty,” Okadigbo stated.

He pledged to sponsor motions and bills that will support funding, training, and legal backing for community security networks across Lagos State and the entire Southwest region. The legislative initiative, he said, will institutionalize collaboration between state security agencies and community structures to prevent future incidents.

The meeting concluded with prayers and solidarity for the families of Oriire Local Government Area. All three leaders pledged continued engagement with security authorities, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders until the children are safely reunited with their families.

“We stand with the families of Oriire LG. We pray for the safe return of every child. May their mothers hug them again soon. Amen,” the joint statement read.

The leaders urged the public to remain vigilant, provide credible information to security agencies, and avoid actions that could jeopardize rescue efforts.
