The Elero of Ileroland, Iwa Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Kajola Local Government, Oyo State, HRM, Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka Olokolonigi has felicitated the indigenes of the community both home and in the diaspora on the successful completion of year 2020 and fruitful commencement of new 2021.
Olokolonigi in a new year statement he personally signed and made available to naijatodaynews.com cheered the sons and daughters of Ileroland on the rare privilege that God granted to see the end of year 2020 and blissful arrival of 2021.
Elero, on behalf of ilero’s indigenes both home and abroad thanked God for His infinite mercy, protection and blessings showering on all to see the end of last year and sustenance granted to welcome the new year.
The monarch said though, the just concluded year was somehow disturbing and disheartening as catastrophic events associated with ravaging coronavirus pandemic and EnSARS’ protest shocked the country, God in His unique mercy saved all natives of the soil without recording a casualty.
He prayed for all community indigenes, inhabitants of Kajola, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole that the new year would usher in sound health, prosperity, blessings and blissfulness for the betterment of all and sundry.
He added that, those that witnessed the new year would by God’s grace see the end, stressing that none will be a victim of any calamity nor disaster capable of cutting lives short prematurely.
He furthered that whatever anyone lays his/her hands upon would yield fruitful and prosperous results, and those living home and abroad would have meaningful things to refer to as achievements.
The monarch enjoined all to celebrate the new year moderately and ensure their compliance with covid-19 protocols which are approved by the relevant authorities.
