The lawmaker representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Hon. Engr. Dr. Aderemi Abas Oseni, FNSE, who is also the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District in the 2027 general elections, has demonstrated uncommon commitment to faith-based development and grassroots empowerment with donations running into tens of millions of naira in Ibadan.
Hon. Remi Oseni, in a day filled with religious engagements and community interventions, donated a combined sum of N30 million to support the building project of the Catholic Women Organisation (CWO), Ibadan Archdiocese, and the installation of a transformer in the Ashi Bodija community.
The first engagement was at the inauguration ceremony of the new executive of the Catholic Women Organisation (CWO), Ibadan Archdiocese, which brought together Catholic faithful, women leaders, members of the clergy and other stakeholders to witness the emergence of the new leadership and celebrate their commitment to service to God and humanity.
At the event, Oseni announced a donation of N20 million towards the CWO’s building project, a gesture that drew loud applause from the congregation. He expressed his support for initiatives aimed at strengthening the Church, empowering women and contributing to the moral and infrastructural development of communities.
According to him, the Church remains a critical partner in nation-building and any investment in its growth is an investment in the future of society.
Immediately after the Catholic programme, Hon. Remi Oseni proceeded to the Ashi Bodija community in Ibadan, where he was received with jubilation by residents.
Community leaders, who had been grappling with months of blackout, used the opportunity to appeal to the federal lawmaker for assistance. They disclosed that residents had already tasked themselves and purchased a transformer through communal contributions, but were unable to raise the funds required for its installation.
When Hon. Remi Oseni asked for the cost implication, the leaders said N10 million would be required to install the transformer and restore electricity supply to the area.
In a swift response that underscored his reputation for grassroots responsiveness, Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni donated N10 million on the spot to facilitate the installation and ensure immediate reconnection of the community to power supply.
Addressing residents, Hon. Remi Oseni highlighted some of his previous interventions in different communities and pledged to continue to support areas where assistance is genuinely needed. He also used the occasion to canvass support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections, including his own senatorial ambition in Oyo South.
With the two donations, Hon. Remi Oseni’s contributions during the day’s engagements stood at N30 million, comprising N20 million for the CWO building project and N10 million for the Ashi Bodija transformer installation.
In a related development, Hon. Engr. Dr. Aderemi Abas Oseni on Sunday, September 20, 2026, ministered at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Molete Mega Region, Ibadan, during the Prophetic Deliverance and Encounter Service organised by the MFM Ibadan 2 Mega Axis.
The service, themed “Stubborn Yokes Must Break,” had Oseni, listed on the programme as Pastor Remi Oseni, MRO, MFM Ogba Mega Region, Lagos, as the guest minister.
During his ministration, Hon. Pastor Aderemi Abas Oseni led the congregation in an intensive prayer session focused on breaking yokes, overcoming persistent challenges and securing divine intervention for families and the nation.
He urged members to remain steadfast in appreciating God and to stay committed to prayer and spiritual growth as tools for personal and collective breakthrough.
The federal lawmaker also called on the church to pay particular attention to challenges and negative patterns affecting young people, urging parents, guardians and the church to tackle such issues early through prayer, guidance, counselling and positive intervention.
At the end of the programme, Hon. Pastor Remi Oseni was honoured by the church with a framed picture and an award recognising him as a Good Ambassador of the Church. He was also presented with posters in support of his senatorial ambition in Oyo South.
Responding to the gestures, Pastor Remi Oseni expressed profound appreciation to the leadership and members of MFM Molete for the recognition and support. He promised to remain deeply connected to his Christian roots and assured that he would never forget the church, which he described as an important part of his spiritual foundation.
In appreciation, Hon. Engr. Dr. Pastor Aderemi Abas Oseni promised his support towards the growth and development of the church, although the exact figure was not disclosed.
The event, which featured prayers, worship and spiritual ministrations, ended with members expressing renewed hope for deliverance from persistent yokes and challenges.
