The Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara local government, Hon. Sanusi Musibau Adesina, has responded to calls from people of Abonde Community, over flooding caused as result of downpour of rain.
The Chairman, at an early hour of this morning visited the scene,to ascertain the causes of the flood and solution.
It was the Abonde community road, precisely in front of the Proposed 100 Beds hospital, which is under construction.
According to investigation, the causes of the flooding was as a result of lack of drainage in front of the Proposed 100 Beds hospital.
The people of the community stated that, before now the project site normally absorbed the flooding.
The Chairman immediately put call through to the Contractor handling the project ( Westfield Global Construction Ltd.) to as a matter of urgency starts the construction of the drainage, in which the contractor had promised to start work immediately.
Efforts are also ongoing to meet with all other relevant stakeholders on the proper maintenance of the road and drainage, to avoid future occurrence.
Representatives of the community were also there, they are Mr Ojediran the community Chairman, Mr Kazeem Fasasi the Community Secretary and Mallam Abdul Waheed Hussain the CDC Secretary Ona-Ara Local Government.
