The sponsored media attack against Hon. Engr. Dr. Aderemi Abas Oseni, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District and Member representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, has suffered a major setback as a chieftain who supervised one of Remi Oseni’s key political structures in 2023 has come out to expose the falsehood behind the ingrate allegation and set the record straight with verifiable facts.
This follows a Facebook comment one Lawal Saheed Kayode made on Thursday, October 22, 2026, in which he accused Hon. Remi Oseni of being an ingrate who uses people and dumps them, claiming he worked for Oseni in 2023 but was not appreciated. The comment, which garnered only two likes on an unknown post, was deliberately lifted, screen-grabbed, and published as news by a blogger to attack Hon. Remi Oseni, without any effort to get Oseni’s response or verify the claim, in clear violation of journalism ethics.
But in a swift and comprehensive rebuttal posted on his verified Facebook page, Hon. Bamidele Lawal, who in 2023 supervised ROCOF, a political movement that had the responsibility to project Hon. Remi Oseni as a sine qua non that would inundate Oyo State with selfless and qualitative leadership, has debunked Lawal Saheed Kayode’s claim as a porous representation of falsehood with obvious unfriendliness to the truth.
“I salute you, Hon. Lawal Saheed Kayode. Your rebuttal to my sincere endorsement of Hon. Remi Oseni has caught my attention, and this is by way of clarification and putting some record straight to avoid misinformation that may emanate from your porous representation of falsehood with obvious unfriendliness to the truth,” Bamidele Lawal stated.
Bamidele Lawal, in his emotionally charged clarification, revealed his own personal experience with Hon. Remi Oseni, which completely contradicts Lawal Kayode’s ingrate narrative and instead portrays Hon. Remi Oseni as a man of immense integrity, an equally large heart, and extraordinary forgiveness.
According to Bamidele Lawal, he made a wrong political judgment in 2023 when he decided to leave the mantle of leadership of ROCOF for vague promises from OMITUNTUN, a decision he deeply regrets to this day in his political life. He confessed that he even cancelled Remi Oseni’s votes in his polling unit to hand over an advantage to Hon. Yemi Taiwo, an action he described as overbearing and too harsh, emanating from party loyalty.
“Hon. Remi Oseni was deeply disappointed in me but never abandoned me because he understands the desperation of man and the audacity of power. I even cancelled his votes in my polling unit to hand over the advantage to Hon Yemi TAIWO, a decision I regret till date in my political life. I wholeheartedly apologize to my political units who consider my actions then as overbearing and too harsh, emanating from Party loyalty. I am sorry,” Bamidele Lawal confessed.
Bamidele Lawal questioned the credibility and veracity of Hon. Lawal Saheed Kayode’s claim, asking a fundamental question that exposes the emptiness of the allegation.
“Hon. Lawal Saheed Kayode, you would have heard of or known me if you had worked for Remi Oseni in this period, and may I humbly ask you which kind of job you did that is yet unpaid,” he queried.
He described Hon. Remi Oseni as a man of immense integrity, a father exemplified and extraordinary who, amidst the reality of having millions of children, still cares about bringing a lost one back home, a man who eschews forgiveness as a virtue and a man of God who is ordained and should not be subjected to undue aspersions.
“Sir, you can run a test on my level of integrity and honesty. I would not say what I don’t know or don’t have proof about, Hon Remi Oseni is a man of immense integrity and an unequal large heart. He considers his constituency seriously as an untransferable responsibility and does everything humanly possible to put smiles on their faces; he is a father exemplified and extraordinary who, amidst the reality of having millions of children, still cares about bringing a lost one back home. He eschews forgiveness as a virtue. This man of God is ordained, and lets no man cast undue aspersions against him,” Bamidele Lawal declared.
Drawing from his long political experience since Option A4, Bamidele Lawal stated unequivocally that Hon. Remi Oseni is genuine, humane, and presently in the political arena without equal, a leader whose unrepentant interest in alleviating the suffering of the masses is beyond passion but a commitment born out of responsibility.
“I have been around politically since option A4; I can say unequivocally that Hon. Remi Oseni is genuine and humane. Presently in the political arena, without equal, no doubt. Let’s consider people who elevate collective interest above personal aggrandizement. Hon. Remi Oseni’s unrepentant interest in alleviating the suffering of the masses is beyond just passion, but rather a commitment born out of responsibility,” he said.
Concluding his clarification, Bamidele Lawal urged Hon. Lawal Saheed Kayode to get his facts correct and be guided by the fear of God, while remaining open to consultations and conversations when it is about Hon. Remi Oseni.
“Conclusively, Hon Lawal Saheed Kayode, please get your facts correct and let’s be guided by the fear of God. I remain open to consultations and conversation when it’s about Hon. Remi Oseni. Remain blessed,” he added.
Political observers in Oyo South have described Bamidele Lawal’s intervention as a devastating blow to the agents of destruction who are desperate to tarnish Remi Oseni’s image ahead of 2027. If a man who cancelled Remi Oseni’s votes can testify that Remi Oseni never abandoned him, how can someone claiming to have worked for him in 2023 credibly call him an ingrate?
The exposure has also put the blogger to shame, as it has become clear that the publication lifted a mere Facebook comment with two likes from an unknown post, without verification, without balance, without contacting Hon. Remi Oseni, and published it as news to attack a performing lawmaker. This is not journalism; it is a political hatchet job, sponsored blackmail, and an affront to professional ethics.
As Oyo South approaches 2027 with eleven weeks remaining, the people are wiser. They know the difference between a man who cancelled votes and was forgiven, and a man who claims to have worked but cannot mention what job he did. They know Remi Oseni is a man of integrity, a large heart, and a father to all.
