In the wake of growing speculations on social media about the 2030 governorship ambition of Otunba Joseph Adeseye Famojuro, popularly known as JAF, a chieftain of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State and strong ally of Governor Seyi Makinde, Chief Ismaila Ashipa, has broken his silence with a compelling, thought-provoking piece titled “THE OTUNBA YOU DON’T KNOW.”
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, Chief Ashipa, known for his blunt and factual political commentaries, said he ordinarily does not react to rumours, but when rumours become hypothetical and the mongers climb the rostrum to pontificate, it becomes imperative to place documents in their correct trays.
According to him, it is no longer news that Otunba JAF remains the last man standing for His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Presidential Candidate of the APM and incumbent Governor of Oyo State.
Chief Ashipa noted that the possibility of Otunba Famojuro contesting the Osun State gubernatorial election in 2030 is not a mere rumour but a plausible hypothesis that should be taken seriously.
Ashipa stressed that Otunba Adeseye Famojuro is as qualified as any indigene of Osun State to occupy the number one seat in the state.

Aside from possessing impeccable paper qualifications that have no semblance with controversial certificate scandals, Chief Ashipa revealed that JAF is a duly registered voter in Osun State, unlike some other political actors who are registered in Osun but are attempting to dip their fingers into the political cake in Oyo State.
“E gbagbe bad belle politics,” Ashipa wrote, dismissing politics of envy and bitterness.
The APM chieftain lauded Governor Seyi Makinde’s brilliant performance in Oyo State, noting that Otunba Seye, even without an official appointment, has been actively involved in the success story of the administration.
He argued that Otunba Seye has had his political tutorial under an excellent guru, and therefore, without being immodest, he is better prepared than all the diaspora candidates currently jostling for the 2030 ticket in Osun.
“Otunba Seye Famojuro has a feasible invisibility aura; if only you know what that means,” Ashipa added.
Describing Otunba Famojuro as a young man in the right lane who is neither greedy nor covetous, Chief Ashipa drew a sharp contrast between JAF and some public officials whose names have been enmeshed in corruption.
“We have all read about a popular Chief of Staff who demanded bribes from a DG of a phantom Agency. No appointee nor government contractor could accuse Seye of ill treatment or corruption,” he stated.
He further described JAF as a buffer in Makinde’s government, the one who constantly reminds the Governor of his campaign promises and ensures that those promises are fulfilled before the expiration of the administration.
Architect Adeseye Famojuro, according to Ashipa, is a role model and a behavioural compass for the Gen-Z generation who intend to serve their communities well. He described him as an embodiment of humility, not overbearing, and one who always settles for the best.
Chief Ashipa debunked the erroneous narrative portraying JAF as a mere errand boy to Governor Makinde.
“That Seye Famojuro is very humble to anything Seyi Makinde doesn’t make him an errand boy as some loud-mouthed politicians would want us to believe. Visit the Omituntun House, Iwo Road, Ibadan. As far back as 2013, Seye declared open that Omituntun mansion. Was he an errand boy then?” he queried.
He therefore warned the public not to be deceived into believing that Otunba Seye Famojuro does not have the financial vault to superintend his political campaigns in 2030.
Ashipa concluded with a strong declaration that if Otunba Seye decides to contest for the Osun State governorship in 2030, and God spares lives, nothing could stop him.
“He has grown to become a political train with a noise and smoke muffler,” he said.
On the question of political platform, Chief Ashipa assured that Seye Famojuro is a goldfish and would prefer contesting on a popular and acceptable platform.
He reminded critics that the Accord party was not known until 2015 when Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja contested under it, adding that the APM is now a national political association for obvious reasons.
“Omo aja ti kuro ni last year’s price,” he said in Yoruba parlance.
And he ended with a warning to political watchers: Watch out!!! #JAF IS COMING. Kii ma sere.
