Concerted efforts are in Top Gear to industrialise the ancient town of Ilero, headquarters of Iwa Local Council Development Area in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo state considering the abundant economic potentials of the town, the Elero of Ileroland, Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka Ige Onisa Olokolonigi 11 has said.
In an interview at his palace, the paramount ruler of Ileroland submitted that the centrality and abundance of natural resources, coupled with the dogged determination of various stakeholders towards the progress and development of the town had encouraged him to lobby foreign investors on the need for the establishment of viable factories in order to improve the economy of the town.
He said the proposed industrial site would contain several factories that would manufacture essential commodities and empower the masses.
While noting that frequent clashes between the farmers and Fulani herdsmen was being contained in the area with his unrelenting efforts aimed at maintaining peace and harmony, the Elero of Ilero added that no society could attain industrial development without Peaceful co existence.
Oba Oyedele Saka however enjoined the people of Ilero to do away with sentiments and come together for the desired progress and development of the ancient town.
