AYOOLA’S DEATH: Lagos SDP Condoles With Oyo State Governor Over Former SDP Chieftain/Commissioner’s Death

The Social Democratic Party (SDP), Lagos State Chapter has commiserated with the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, over the death of his close associate and Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Kehinde Ayoola.
The party in a statement released to www.naijatodaynews.com by its Publicity Secretary, Comrade Obinna.O.Obichukwu, expressed sadness over the incident and described the deceased as “a very loyal and dedicated party member, who had always stood behind Governor Makinde and played key roles in his governorship campaign and eventual victory at the polls.
The statement read:
“It was with a deep shock that we receive the news of the demise of Rt Hon. Kehinde Ayoola, a former Speaker of Oyo State, former Judiciary Service Commissioner and former member of the National Working Committee of our great party(SDP) until his death, he was one of the strong pillars of our party, a trusted and reliable fellow”.
“In 2018, he left with Engr Seyi Makinde,his trusted friend and ally back to People’s Democratic Party (PDP),to team up with him to contest Oyo Governorship Election, the party won and after the inauguration of Governor Seyi Makinde, he became his Commissioner for Environment until his death on Thursday, 14th May, 2020 after a brief illness”.
“Our party in this moment of grief and pains send our sincere condolences to the families, friends and loved ones he left behind and to the Governor and government of Oyo State, we pray that Almighty God will give us the fortitude to bear the loss”.
