In a heartfelt and humble letter to the leaders, stakeholders, and faithful members of Ibadan North West, Hon. Sheriff Segun Adesina has formally announced his intention to contest for a seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Ibadan North West State Constituency, in the 2027 elections.
Addressing His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, and other party leaders, Adesina expressed his deep sense of responsibility to the party and the good people of Ibadan North West. He acknowledged the governor’s people-oriented leadership and commended the efforts of party leaders and stakeholders in sustaining unity and growth.
Hon. Adesina, who stepped down his ambition in 2019 and 2023 in the interest of party unity, said his decision to run is driven by a sincere desire to serve and contribute meaningfully to the development of Ibadan North West. He emphasized his commitment to responsive leadership, youth empowerment, community development, economic opportunities, and inclusive governance.
Highlighting his track record of loyalty, sacrifice, and dedication, Hon. Adesina humbly sought the guidance, support, and prayers of party leaders and stakeholders. He assured that he is more experienced, more prepared, and more determined to deliver results.
The aspirant’s letter concluded with an appeal to work together in unity, peace, and progress, and to deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people of Ibadan North West.
