Ibadan, Nigeria – As the world welcomes the new month of March, Celestial Shepherd Superior Evangelist Olawale Oladele of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Ileri Oluwa Se Parish, Elewi Odo, Ibadan, has called on Christians and Muslims to unite in reflection, prayer, and spiritual renewal.

In a statement released to the press, Superior Evangelist Oladele emphasized the significance of the sacred periods commencing this month. For Christians, March marks the beginning of Lent, a 40-day season of reflection, fasting, and spiritual renewal leading up to Easter. Muslims, on the other hand, begin their fasting period, seeking spiritual growth and closeness to Allah.

Shepherd Oladele urged Christians and Muslims to seize this opportunity to reflect on their faith, pray for spiritual growth, and engage in acts of self-denial. He encouraged the faithful to reach out to those in need, offer a helping hand, and spread love and kindness.

As the Quran reminds us, “O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other” (Quran 49:13). This verse emphasizes the importance of unity and understanding among people of different backgrounds and faiths.

Similarly, the Bible teaches us to “love thy neighbor as thyself” (Mark 12:31). This commandment reminds us to treat others with kindness, compassion, and respect, regardless of their faith or background.

Shepherd Oladele also prayed for the nation, Nigeria, urging leaders to be guided by wisdom and integrity, and citizens to work towards the common good. He expressed hope that this holy month would be a time of spiritual awakening, healing, and transformation for all Nigerians.

The Celestial Shepherd’s call for unity and spiritual renewal comes at a time when Nigeria is facing numerous challenges, including economic uncertainty, insecurity, and social unrest. His message serves as a reminder that, despite these challenges, Nigerians can come together in prayer, reflection, and service to build a more harmonious and prosperous society.

As the nation embarks on this sacred journey, Shepherd Oladele’s words of encouragement and unity are a beacon of hope for a brighter future.
