When Hon. Engr. Dr. Aderemi Abas Oseni speaks, communities listen. Not because of a title, but because his words carry the weight of compassion and the evidence of service. In Oyo South, they now say: when Oseni talks, the heavens descend.
This is not politics as usual. This is a mission. A mission rooted in the liberation of the masses and the development of Oyo State and Nigeria at large. That has been the message from Ido to Ibarapa East and now across the entire Oyo South Senatorial District.
Before 2023, Hon. Aderemi Abass Oseni was already known as a philanthropist and engineer who solved problems without waiting for government. He sank boreholes in rural villages. He rehabilitated roads with personal funds. He paid school fees for indigent students and supported widows during festive periods. No cameras. No noise.
The 2023 mandate to represent Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency changed the scale of the assignment. The House of Representatives became the new platform to preach for the goodness of the masses.
His emergence also brought a strategic national responsibility. As Chairman, House Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Hon. Remi Oseni inherited the burden of Nigeria’s failing roads. He took it on with an engineer’s mind and a servant’s heart.
Under his leadership, the committee intensified oversight of abandoned federal road projects. He insisted that contractors must deliver value and that budgets must reflect the needs of road users, farmers, and traders.
In the constituency, the scorecard is verifiable. Solar-powered streetlights now guide students home. Health centers received equipment and drugs. Youths were trained in ICT, fashion design, and agriculture and given starter packs.
Women cooperatives received grants and grinding machines. Artisans received tools to practice their trades. This was not stomach infrastructure. This was legacy infrastructure.
What sets Hon. Engr. Aderemi Abas Oseni apart is that he does not need the office for daily bread. By God’s grace, he is already blessed. What he needs is to see life made easy for the common man.
That is why elders say God sent him to rescue Oyo South. A man without personal desperation can focus entirely on public service.
Oyo South Senatorial District has nine local governments. Each one has roads that need fixing, youths that need jobs, and families that need support. The model tested in two LGAs must now be expanded.
The APC has presented Hon. Remi Oseni as its candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District in the 2027 elections. The reason is simple: he has proven himself.
The Senate needs men who will legislate for the people, not for personal contracts. Men who will ask questions in committee and return to report to the people.
When Hon. Remi Oseni talks in the Senate, the heavens will descend with policies that reduce hardship. With budgets that favor the masses. With oversight that protects public funds.
2027 is therefore not about ambition. It is about liberation. The best way to allow the God-sent man to deliver is to vote him to represent the good people of Oyo South.
