Chief Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, Aare Egbe-Omo Balogun of Ibadanland, has been chosen by the African Democratic Congress to lead its charge for the Oyo State governorship in 2027. His candidacy represents a new standard for leadership, one rooted in integrity, accessibility, and results.
For years, Chief Adegboyega has been a stabilizing force in Ibadanland. As a traditional leader, he has mediated conflicts, supported cultural festivals, and advocated for youth development. Those same qualities will now be applied at the state level.

Infrastructure renewal will prioritize roads, markets, and water systems that directly improve livelihoods. Projects will be selected based on impact, not political patronage.
Accountable governance means open budgets, citizen participation, and zero tolerance for waste. Chief Adegboyega has committed to running a government where public funds are used for public good.
His leadership style is consultative. He will not govern from a distance. Regular engagement with communities, traditional institutions, and professional bodies will ensure policies reflect real needs.
Security will be approached holistically. By addressing unemployment, improving community relations, and supporting security agencies, his administration will create an environment where businesses and families can thrive.
