The popular Ibadan based politician and philanthropist, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeniyan has shouldered the responsibility of leading the reconciliation team whose terms of reference are to plead with the aggrieved members of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Ibadan and ensure that they return to their political mainstream.
This was made known on Monday, September 14 when Ajia Balogun of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Taofeek Adegboyega returned to PDP shortly after Olopoeniyan made move to reconcile all party’s aggrieved members in Ibadan, the capital of the state.
The Political Icon congratulated all the PDP members of Oyo State for bringing Ajia Balogun of Ibadan land back to where he belongs to.
He thanked everyone who contributed to the success, praying God to be with all and sundry.
Olopoeniyan said that Governor Seyi Makinde was loved by everybody as a renowned philanthropist and someone who was sent by God to help people of Oyo State and Nigeria in general, stressing that he needs to be supported so as to deliverer effectively on mandate given by the people of the state.
In his further efforts to ensure that the party is united, Ajia Olubadan, Chief Taofeek Adegboyega welcomed Olopoeniyan, Royal Umbrella, Adigun Ibadan, Adeeyo, Alhaja Folarin and others to his house in Ibadan, stressing that PDP is a united family that cannot be distingerated for whatsoever reasons.
A Party Chieftain in the team and close Ally of Engr Seyi Makinde, Comrade Olajide Abayomi (Royal Umbrella) commended Olopoeniyan on his relentless efforts to make PDP stronger and united.
Royal Umbrella added that PDP remained a notable political party in the pacesetter state where good governance and dividends of democracy are being extended to the people of the state.
He lavished encomiums on Governor Seyi Makinde for his readiness and firm stance to ensure that he fulfills the promises made during the electioneering campaigns, enjoining people to throw weight behind the governor so as to deliver the more.
He said he was happy that the reconciliation moves have been yielding positive results, appealing the aggrieved ones to sheath their swords and close ranks against the opposition parties.
