Appeal has gone to the aggrieved stakeholders of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State to sheath their swords and close ranks against the united opposition.
A chieftain of the party in Kajola who pleaded to speak under the condition of anonymity made an appeal while speaking with Khalid Imran, Editor, naijatodaynews.com.
An anonymous chieftain appealed to all the aggrieved party’s stakeholders, loyalists and members to sheath their swords and close ranks against the united oppositions who are looking for cracks to penetrate.
A chieftain who declined to shed light on causes of fractionalization in the party for the sake of retribution revealed unequivocally that it is high time the big wigs in the party united in order to defend their common interest.
He stressed that it was no longer a gainsaying and indisputable fact that factions have been manifested in the party and have equally distingerated the stakeholders and members into obvious groups, adding that it was a dangerous phenomenon to have factions at this material time when all ranks are to be closed against the united oppositions who are looking for ways to triumph over the party.
The party Chieftain emphasised that he could not mention the causes of fractionalization and names of fractionalized groups who are claiming superiority and relevance in the party over the others, stressing that what matters to him is to ensure that the big wigs in the party embrace peace and forge ahead with united front.
While speaking on why they should unite with one another, the party chieftain said that PDP was the ruling party in the pacesetter state and it becomes imperative and necessary to manage the current success so as to effectively deliver on good governance to the masses.
Not only that but also added that the local government election was fast approaching and all hands must be on deck in order to coast home to victory.
He reiterated that members of opposition are not loosing sleep on way out to reclaim the state and local government, stressing that they all need to sheath their swords and close ranks henceforth.
He called on party stakeholders like Chief Johnson Ojebiyi, Hon. Sulaiman Tijani, Hon. Shina Oyedeji, Hon. Akeem Mugaty, Alhaji Adele Musodiq Alawiye, Alhaji Alli Oyedeji, Alhaji O.K. Salam, Alhaji Azeez Ogundijo, Elder Jagunmolu and others to do the needful and embrace peace among one another.
He equally called on Governor Seyi Makinde, Engr Rauf Olaniyan and Senator Hosea Agboola Alleluyah to call those fanning the ember of discord in the party to an order and ensure that all hands are put on deck.
