Hon. Engr. Dr. Aderemi Abas Oseni, Member representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, has described politics as most meaningful when it connects leaders directly with the people at the grassroots.
Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni stated this on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, during an interactive visit to the executives and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, chapter of the Iso Pako Bodija Timber and Plank Market in Bodija, Ibadan, as part of his ongoing grassroots mobilisation across Oyo South Senatorial District.
Describing the engagement as “more than a meeting,” the APC candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District said the gathering was a warm family conversation centred on ideas, unity, and a collective commitment to the growth of the party and the development of communities across Oyo South.
Addressing party leaders and traders, the Lawmaker highlighted the remarkable achievements being recorded under the administration of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He pointed to strategic investments in critical infrastructure, improvements in the healthcare sector, bold economic reforms, and expanded access to quality education through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, as clear evidence of the President’s commitment to national renewal.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan. It is a practical roadmap that is already delivering results in infrastructure, education, health, and economic empowerment,” Hon. Remi Oseni said. “It is our collective responsibility as party faithful to continue taking this message to the grassroots, so that every community understands the direction our nation is taking and the opportunities that lie ahead.”
The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to people-centred representation and grassroots engagement, noting that the task ahead requires unity, consistency, and sustained dialogue with the people.
“As we continue to build a stronger and more united APC across Oyo South, I am deeply inspired by the commitment and enthusiasm of our party members,” he stated. “The journey ahead demands that we stay connected to our people, consolidate our gains, and position Oyo South for greater progress.”
Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni commended the market leadership, the Baale, and the executives of the APC chapter in Iso Pako Bodija for their warm reception and for facilitating frank and productive discussions. He also expressed appreciation to traders who set aside their daily business to receive him and his team.
“To every trader who paused to welcome us, thank you for your trust, your encouragement, and your belief in what we are building together,” he said. “Your support continues to inspire me. By the grace of God, I remain committed to serving with sincerity, humility, and a clear focus on delivering meaningful progress for Oyo South and our dear state.”
The visit concluded with a renewed resolve by party executives to intensify mobilisation, promote the achievements of the Tinubu administration, and strengthen the APC structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
