IBADAN, Oyo State – Hon. Busari Olayemi, Executive Adviser to His Excellency, Governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE, on Intra-Party Affairs, has congratulated the governor on the attainment of seven impactful years in office, describing the milestone as a testament to purposeful leadership, political sagacity, and unwavering dedication to the people of Oyo State.
In his congratulatory statement, Hon. Olayemi reflected on the governor’s journey since 2019, noting that the Makinde administration has successfully transformed Oyo State into a model of good governance and sustainable development.
“Your Excellency, in seven years, you have written a new chapter in the history of Oyo State. Your administration’s commitment to infrastructural development is evident in the completion of the 32km Ibadan Circular Road, the reconstruction of the 12.5km Idi-Ape-Basorun-Akobo-Odogbo Barracks Road, and numerous intra-city and intercity roads that have opened up our economy,” he said.
Hon. Olayemi also highlighted the governor’s achievements in healthcare, including the upgrading of secondary health facilities, the revitalization of primary healthcare centers, and the employment of healthcare workers to strengthen service delivery. He noted that the administration’s focus on youth and women empowerment through vocational training, entrepreneurship schemes, and access to credit has created opportunities for thousands of residents.
As Executive Adviser on Intra-Party Affairs, Hon. Olayemi commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his inclusive leadership style and his ability to foster unity within the political space. “You have demonstrated that politics is about service, not personal aggrandizement. Your open-door policy and commitment to internal democracy have strengthened party structures and inspired confidence among members,” he added.
On Governor Makinde’s emergence as the Allied People’s Movement APM National Leader and presidential aspirant for 2027, Hon. Olayemi described it as a clarion call for national transformation.
“Nigeria needs a leader who has been tested and trusted at the sub-national level. Governor Seyi Makinde has demonstrated capacity, prudence in resource management, and a deep understanding of the people’s needs. His APM presidential ambition for 2027 gives Nigerians hope for a government that will prioritize security, economic growth, and social justice. We are ready to mobilize across party lines to ensure his success,” he declared.
He prayed for more wisdom, divine guidance, and good health for the governor as he leads Oyo State to greater heights and prepares to take his vision to the national stage.
