Ibadan — The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has added another glorious chapter to his rising political profile, as he received two prestigious awards in one day in recognition of his outstanding leadership, purposeful governance and commitment to grassroots development.
The double honour, which has continued to attract commendations from political associates, community leaders, stakeholders and residents across Egbeda Local Government and beyond, is a clear testimony to the growing acceptance and appreciation of his people-oriented administration.
Hon. Sanda was first honoured with the Outstanding Leadership and Governance Award 2026 by the Centre for Community Advocacy and Development, a reputable organisation known for promoting good governance, community participation and sustainable development at the grassroots.
According to the organisers, the award was conferred on the Egbeda Council Chairman in recognition of his commitment to good governance, purposeful leadership, community development and people-oriented administration since assuming office.
The Centre noted that Hon. Sanda has distinguished himself through responsive leadership, practical interventions and a deliberate focus on identifying the real needs of the people and addressing them with sustainable solutions that improve the quality of life across communities in Egbeda.
On the same day, in what many described as a rare and remarkable coincidence, Hon. Sanda also received an Award of Excellence from Ise Ya Media Company, in appreciation of his dedication to public service, exemplary leadership qualities and immense contributions to societal development.
The Award of Excellence, according to Ise Ya Media Company, was in recognition of his consistent display of integrity, humility, accessibility and vision in the discharge of his duties as the Chief Executive of Egbeda Local Government.
The double recognition within a single day further highlights the growing national and local recognition of Hon. Sanda’s leadership style and his administration’s sustained efforts towards making governance meaningful through impactful projects, responsive leadership and people-centred initiatives.
