The Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE, has approved the appointment of Rev. Adeboyin Oladokun as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Matters.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was contained in an appointment letter issued by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD, on September 18, 2026.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, announced the appointment in a joint press release on new appointments on September 18, 2026.
Rev. Adeboyin Oladokun, a former member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation Board representing Oyo North Senatorial District, is a seasoned administrator, finance expert, and pastoral leader with over three decades of professional experience.
She was born into the family of the former Executive Chairman of Oorelope Local Government, Apostle S.A. Adeola, in Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Rev. Adeboyin Oladokun is also a former aspirant for Oyo North Senatorial District in the 2027 General Election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where she demonstrated her commitment to inclusive representation and grassroots development.
Rev. Adeboyin Oladokun started her academic pursuit at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, before obtaining her Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from Ondo State Polytechnic.
She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Leadership and Management (Honorary) from Freedom University, United States of America, as her highest academic qualification; a Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Finance Option) from France; and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theology (Pastoral and Biblical Studies) from McPherson University.
In her over thirty years of professional career, Rev. Oladokun has served meritoriously in various capacities.
She served as a member and representative of Oyo North Senatorial District on the Board of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, where she contributed to housing development and policy formulation in the state.
She also served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SEAP Microfinance Ltd, where she provided strategic leadership, drove financial inclusion, and strengthened institutional growth.
Prior to that, she served as Regional Manager at Unity Bank Plc, now Providus Unity Bank, where she distinguished herself in banking operations, financial management, and corporate leadership.
She began her professional career as an Accountant at the Nigeria Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER), Ibadan, where she built a solid foundation in accounting and public finance administration.
With her wealth of experience, global exposure, and deep understanding of Diaspora affairs, Rev. Adeboyin Oladokun is expected to bring her expertise to bear in strengthening the bridge between the Oyo State Government and its indigenes in the Diaspora, attracting Diaspora investments, and projecting the image of Oyo State on the global stage in line with the Omituntun 2.0 Sustainable Development Agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.
The Oyo State Government congratulates Rev. Adeboyin Oladokun on her appointment and wishes her a successful and impactful tenure.
