The campaign train of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, popularly known as KSA, has continued to gain traction across the constituency, as the candidate embarked on a comprehensive grassroots consultation tour of key communities in Ibarapa East Local Government Area.
The intensive tour, which covered strategic locations in both Eruwa and Lanlate axes, saw the APM candidate and his team visit the Bricklayers Association in New Eruwa, Ifedayo Community, Alayande Base, Low-Cost Housing Estate in Eruwa, Orisunayo Community, Surulere Community in Lanlate, and Olopoto Community in New Eruwa.
At each stop, the campaign train was greeted with enthusiasm and massive turnout by residents, community leaders, artisans, youth groups, women associations and other critical stakeholders who gathered to receive the candidate and listen to his message of hope and responsive representation.
In his address at the various communities, Engr. Adedeji expressed deep appreciation to the people of Ibarapa East for their warm reception, unwavering loyalty and sustained engagement with his campaign since its commencement, describing their support as a source of strength and motivation.
He stated that his aspiration to represent the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency at the National Assembly is not driven by personal ambition, but by a genuine commitment to provide people-oriented, accessible and impactful representation that will address the long-standing challenges confronting the constituency.
According to him, true legislative representation must go beyond mere promises and paperwork on the floor of the House, but must be anchored on direct engagement, grassroots presence, identification of community-specific challenges and implementation of sustainable, practical solutions that touch lives meaningfully.
“True representation goes far beyond empty promises or paperwork; it is about direct engagement, identifying community challenges, and implementing sustainable solutions that touch lives meaningfully,” KSA said.
Unveiling his development blueprint, the APM candidate outlined a comprehensive five-point agenda he intends to prioritise if elected.
On infrastructure, he pledged to champion improved basic amenities, sustainable water supply projects, rural road rehabilitation and other community-focused development initiatives that will enhance living conditions across Ido and Ibarapa East.
For youth and educational development, KSA promised to facilitate digital skills acquisition programmes, establishment of ICT training hubs, scholarship opportunities for indigent but brilliant students, and robust sports development initiatives aimed at discovering and nurturing talents.
On women and artisan empowerment, the engineer-turned-politician said he will pursue deliberate initiatives to improve financial inclusion, strengthen cooperative societies, provide specialized vocational training and support small businesses and local trades to become more competitive and sustainable.
He further pledged to ensure inclusive governance by giving greater attention to vulnerable groups, including elderly residents and Persons Living With Disabilities (PWDs), assuring that no segment of the constituency will be left behind in his representation.
During the interactive sessions, community leaders, trade representatives and residents who spoke in turns expressed support for KSA’s candidacy, citing his philanthropic activities and community development interventions even before seeking elective office as proof of his genuine love for the people.
They also commended his grassroots engagement style, accessibility and humility, noting that unlike many politicians who only appear during elections, KSA has maintained direct contact with the people and understands the peculiar challenges confronting them.
The campaign tour also provided an opportunity for the APM candidate and his team to further strengthen strategic engagements with community stakeholders, trade unions, youth bodies and political groups across Eruwa and Lanlate.
The latest round of consultations is part of KSA’s wider and sustained campaign strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections, as political activities continue to intensify across the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, with the APM candidate widely seen as a formidable force to reckon with.
