In a major boost to his grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, the candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, popularly known as KSA, on Friday stormed Surulere Community in Ward 9 of Ido Local Government Area with his campaign train.
The campaign visit, which drew a mammoth crowd of residents, community leaders, youth groups, artisans, market women and party faithful, turned into a carnival of sorts as the people of Surulere trooped out in large numbers to receive the APM candidate and his team.
The engagement, held at the heart of the community, provided a direct interface between the candidate and the people, allowing residents to bare their minds on critical issues affecting the community, including infrastructural deficit, economic hardship, youth unemployment and the need for more inclusive governance.
Engr. Adedeji, in his characteristic grassroots style, engaged residents in open and frank interactions, patiently listening to their concerns, experiences and expectations, while also taking time to outline his robust legislative blueprint for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency.
Addressing the gathering, community leaders and stakeholders who spoke at the event commended Engr. Adedeji for sustaining his people-oriented approach to politics and his consistent contributions to community development long before joining the race.
They described KSA as a man of proven competence, citing his background as a seasoned engineer and successful businessman, as well as his numerous interventions in the areas of education support, youth empowerment, and community development initiatives across the constituency.
According to them, his pedigree and antecedents stand him out as the most prepared and credible candidate to offer quality representation at the National Assembly, pledging to mobilise massively for the APM candidate ahead of the 2027 polls.
In his response, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji expressed profound gratitude to the people of Surulere for the warm, rousing and unprecedented reception accorded him and his campaign team, assuring them that their trust and support will not be taken for granted.
He reiterated his commitment to providing effective, responsive, accountable and people-centred representation if elected as member of the House of Representatives for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency.
The APM candidate disclosed that his legislative agenda will be anchored on four key pillars, including massive infrastructural renewal, human capital development, sustainable economic empowerment for traders, artisans and small business owners, and creation of decent opportunities for the youth and women.
He said, “Our mandate is simple: to change the face of governance by putting the people first. Real leadership is measured not by empty promises, but by visible, measurable impact and a genuine willingness to walk side-by-side with the people.”
Adedeji assured the people of Surulere that he will not be an Abuja-based representative, but a grassroots legislator who will maintain constant engagement with his constituents and ensure that their voices are heard loud and clear on the floor of the National Assembly.
The campaign visit ended on a high note with prayers offered by community elders and solidarity chants by supporters who reaffirmed their commitment to the KSA project and the victory of the APM in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
