The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government Area, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their conferment with the prestigious chieftaincy titles of Aare Asoludero of Eruwaland and Yeye Asoludero of Eruwaland respectively by the Eleruwa of Eruwa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola, Ajobo Olurin I.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Hon. Oyedele described the traditional honours as a well-deserved recognition of the Governor and his wife’s selfless service, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to the peace, unity and socio-economic development of Oyo State.
The conferment, according to the monarch, is in appreciation of the Makinde administration’s people-centered governance and its efforts at bridging the gap between government and traditional institutions across the state.
Commending the decision of the Eleruwa-in-Council, Hon. Oyedele noted that the title of Aare Asoludero aptly reflects Governor Makinde’s role as a unifier, builder, and father of modern Oyo State whose administration has prioritized infrastructure, education, healthcare and security.
“The conferment of Aare Asoludero of Eruwaland on His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, is a clear testament to his remarkable contributions to the development, peace, unity and progress of our dear state,” Oyedele said.

“He has consistently demonstrated that governance is about service to the people. This honour reflects his commitment to strengthening the bonds between government and our revered traditional institutions.”
The Egbeda Council boss also extended warm felicitations to the First Lady of Oyo State, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on her installation as Yeye Asoludero of Eruwaland.
Hon. Oyedele described the honour as a fitting acknowledgement of the First Lady’s quiet but impactful support for her husband’s administration and her direct interventions in the welfare, empowerment, and development of women, children and vulnerable groups across Oyo State.
“Yeye Asoludero is not just a title. It is a call to greater service. Mama Oyo has earned this through compassion, generosity and dedication to the wellbeing of our people,” he added.
Hon. Oyedele prayed that Almighty God would continue to grant Governor Makinde and his wife wisdom, good health, strength and long life to enable them to continue in their service to humanity and to further advance the growth and prosperity of Oyo State.
He also congratulated the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola, and the entire people of Eruwaland for deeming it fit to honour the Governor and his wife with such distinguished traditional titles.
“This gesture further reinforces the cordial relationship between the Makinde-led administration and traditional institutions in Oyo State. It is a celebration of excellence, humility and service,” Oyedele stated.
The conferment is expected to further deepen the partnership between government and traditional rulers in driving grassroots development across the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State ahead of the 2027 political engagements.
