IDO, Oyo State — The Member representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dr. Engr. On Friday, 17th July 2027, Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni joined Muslim faithful for the Jumat prayer at the Ido Central Mosque in Ido Town, Ido Local Government Area.
The visit, which drew a large turnout of worshippers, party leaders, and community stakeholders, was marked by prayers for peace, unity, and continued progress in the constituency, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
Addressing the congregation after the prayers, Hon. Remi Oseni expressed deep appreciation to the Muslim community for their unwavering prayers, support, and loyalty over the years. He described the mosque as not just a place of worship, but a central pillar for spiritual growth and communal harmony in Ido Land.
“The growth and development of our people remain my top priority. Our collective progress as a constituency depends on unity, faith, and purposeful leadership. I am committed to ensuring that Ido and Ibarapa East continue to benefit from dividends of democracy at the federal level,” the federal lawmaker stated.
He further noted that with greater electoral victories for the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the federal, state, senatorial, and local government levels, more developmental projects and opportunities would be attracted to the constituency.
In a significant demonstration of his commitment to the propagation of Islam and community development, Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni announced an additional donation of ₦10,000,000 toward the ongoing construction of the Ido Central Mosque.
This brings his total contribution to the project to ₦60,000,000, following an earlier donation of ₦50,000,000 in support of the same initiative.
According to him, the gesture is part of his dedication to supporting religious institutions that promote morality, discipline, and social cohesion.
“I believe that when we invest in the house of God, we are investing in the moral foundation of our society. This mosque, when completed, will serve generations to come and stand as a symbol of our faith and unity,” he added.
The announcement was met with resounding appreciation from the Chief Imam, mosque committee members, and the entire congregation. Special prayers were offered for Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni, his family, the APC, and for God’s guidance and protection upon him in his legislative duties and future political aspirations.
Community and religious leaders described the donation as “timely, generous, and a clear reflection of purposeful representation.” They also commended the lawmaker for always identifying with the people at the grassroots and for his consistent support for religious and developmental initiatives.
Several party executives, ward leaders, women and youth groups were also in attendance to welcome the federal lawmaker.
As the APC Candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District in the 2027 elections, Hon. Aderemi Abas Oseni, who also serves as Chairman, House Committee on the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), reassured the people that his focus remains on delivering infrastructure, empowerment, and inclusive governance.
He called on constituents to remain steadfast in prayers and to continue supporting government policies aimed at national growth and religious tolerance.
The Jumat service ended with supplications for continued peace in Oyo State, success for the APC in future elections, and divine blessings upon all residents of Ido and Ibarapa East Federal Constituency.
