IBADAN, Oyo State – In the true spirit of Eid-el-Adha, the Allied Peoples’ Movement, APM, candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, popularly known as KSA, on Friday rolled out a comprehensive support package worth millions of naira to constituents across the constituency, bringing relief and festive cheer to thousands of households.
The large-scale humanitarian intervention, described by community leaders as one of the most impactful festive outreach programs in recent years, covered the distribution of bags of rice, live rams, cash gifts, and other essential items. The gesture was aimed at cushioning the effects of the prevailing economic hardship and enabling families to observe the sacred festival with dignity, joy, and peace of mind.
Speaking through the KSA Media Office, Engr. Adedeji reaffirmed that his political vision is anchored on people-centered leadership where compassion and human development take precedence over rhetoric.
“In my message to the people, I emphasized that Eid-el-Adha is more than a celebration; it is a profound reminder of sacrifice, love, and mutual responsibility. At a time when many families are grappling with rising costs of living, it is imperative for those in positions of influence to stand in solidarity with the people,” KSA stated.
He added that true leadership must be measured by its ability to respond to the immediate needs of the people while working toward long-term solutions for economic empowerment and social welfare. “Our commitment is to ensure that no family in Ido/Ibarapa East feels abandoned, especially during moments of religious and cultural significance,” he said.
The distribution exercise, which took place simultaneously across key communities within the constituency, witnessed an overwhelming turnout of beneficiaries from all wards. Recipients expressed heartfelt gratitude to the APM standard bearer, describing the intervention as timely and unprecedented.
Several beneficiaries noted that the support would enable them to fulfill the spiritual obligations of the festival and celebrate with their families without undue financial strain. “This is not the first time KSA has stood with us, but the scale of this year’s support shows that he truly understands the struggles of the common man,” one beneficiary remarked.
Religious leaders and Islamic clerics who supervised the exercise praised KSA for his consistent generosity and concern for the grassroots. They offered prayers for his continued success, wisdom, and protection, urging other political actors to emulate his model of giving back to the community.
The Eid-el-Adha outreach further solidifies KSA’s growing reputation as a leader deeply connected to the people. The event was characterized by an atmosphere of excitement, prayers, and goodwill messages, as residents celebrated both the festive season and the demonstration of solidarity from their representative.

The outreach forms part of KSA’s broader agenda to institutionalize regular social welfare interventions and economic support programs for vulnerable groups within Ido/Ibarapa East. KSA used the occasion to call on stakeholders, business leaders, and well-meaning individuals to complement government and political efforts in addressing the socio-economic challenges facing communities. He stressed that sustainable development requires collective responsibility and a shared commitment to uplifting the most vulnerable.
