OTOPE’s Humanitarian Service And Youth Empowerment Earn Grassroots Backing, Say Egbeda Councilors

The House of Representatives Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as OTOPE, on Friday, May 15, 2026, hosted serving councillors from Egbeda Local Government at his residence in Ibadan.

The visit, which was largely described as a strategic political meeting, afforded the councillors the opportunity to formally congratulate OTOPE on his emergence as the APM candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election, while also discussing grassroots mobilisation and campaign strategies ahead of the general elections.

Speaking during the meeting, the councillors expressed confidence in OTOPE’s leadership capacity, political experience, and longstanding commitment to the welfare of the people across Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency. They assured him of their readiness to work collectively towards ensuring victory for the party at the polls.

The councilors further noted that OTOPE’s consistency in humanitarian service, youth empowerment, and community development has endeared him to the grassroots, making him a widely accepted candidate across the constituency.

In his remarks, Hon. OTOPE appreciated the councillors for the visit, describing it as a strong signal of unity, loyalty, and commitment towards the collective aspiration of building a better and more prosperous constituency.

He charged party faithful and stakeholders to remain focused, united, and committed to issue-based engagement as preparations intensify for the 2027 general election.

OTOPE also reaffirmed his dedication to quality representation, inclusive governance, and people-oriented leadership, assuring constituents that the APM remains committed to delivering purposeful representation when elected into office.

The meeting ended with strategic deliberations on ward-to-ward mobilisation, stakeholder engagement, and strengthening party structures across Egbeda Local Government and the entire federal constituency.
