In a grand celebration marking a significant milestone in his tenure, the Executive Chairman of Oluwole Local Government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji (FNSE), recently commemorated his one-year anniversary in office at the Oluyole Secretariat, Idi-Ayunre. The event, themed “A Year of Growth with a Future of Promise,” drew dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal, represented by his wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Ajibola Ajibike Lawal.
In his address, Engr. Olatunji emphasized that empowering the people of Oluyole demonstrated his administration’s commitment to rewarding dedication and promoting institutional efficiency within the local government system. “Leadership is about teamwork. It is only right that those who work tirelessly to support the vision and mission of this government are empowered to do even more,” he stated.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Intra-Party Affairs, Hon. Busari Olayemi, praised Engr. Olatunji’s leadership style, describing it as visionary and people-oriented. “Your one year in office has been remarkable, marked by significant achievements that have positively impacted the lives of Oluwole residents,” he said. “Your commitment to good governance and development has earned you the respect and admiration of your people.” He commended Engr. Olatunji’s dedication to the well-being and benefit of the people of Oluyole Local Government.
“The dividends of democracy to the people of Oluyole Local Government are paramount to Engr. Akeem Olatunji, and he is emulating the operational mode of His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde,” Hon. Olayemi noted. “As he celebrates one year in office, marked by empowering the good people of Oluyole Local Government, it is evident that he will contribute significantly to the development of Oluyole local government.”
Hon. Olayemi further observed that Engr. Olatunji’s administration has demonstrated a clear understanding of the needs and aspirations of the local government area. “Your policies and programs have been geared towards promoting economic growth, social welfare, and infrastructural development,” he added. “We are confident that your leadership will continue to bring about positive change and progress in Oluyole.”
Other notable attendees included His Royal Majesty, Oba Amidu Ajibade, traditional council members, party leaders, farmers, artisans, and Oluyole staff members, among others.
As Engr. Olatunji marks his one-year anniversary in office, the people of Oluwole are optimistic about the future. His leadership has brought about a sense of hope and renewal, and many believe that he is on the right path to transforming the local government area.
