2023: Ogunbode Reiterates Commitment To Key Roles Of Lawmaker, Dividends Of Democracy

The Accord Candidate for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola Federal Constituency of Oyo State, Hon. Sola Ogunbode has promised to give priority to effective representation, sponsorship of notable bills/motions, oversight functions, betterment of the constituents and general dividends of democracy.

Ogunbode made this pledge while featuring at a programme tagged ‘Hot Seat’ organised by Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), OkeOgun Federated Chapel at Greenland Hotel in Iseyin under the chairmanship of Comrade Ismail Ogundeji.

Okeho-born politician reiterated his stance to effective representation that would better the lives and general wellbeing of the constituents across the federal constituency.

Ogunbode who is also the Akinrogun of Okeholand promised to work diligently and passionately towards sponsorship of the prioritised bills/motions that would address the myriads of challenges bedeviling the growth, development and expansion of the four local governments making the federal constituency.

Adding that, the key duties of a legislator are not limited to only effective representation and sponsorship of bills/motions but also oversight functions among others.

He however said, he had toured the nooks and crannies of the four local governments making the federal constituency of Oyo State and he knows where the shoe pinches the constituents.

If he becomes a member of the green chamber of National Assembly come 2023, he promised to ensure that the dividends of democracy are instantly getting to the doorsteps of the constituents regardless of political affiliations and other dichotomies.

He pledged to lead with her true modicum of Omoluabi, impeccable character, sincerity, God’s piety and other qualities inherent in a good leader.

Ogunbode maintained that he would not be far to the constituents, as the town hall meeting would be given priority in order to keep them abreast of the happenings at the green chamber.

As 2023 general elections beckon, Ogunbode urged people across Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola Federal Constituency to vote him as the next lawmaker to represent the federal constituency at the green chamber of National Assembly.

Among the personalities and politicians who were with him while the hot seat lasted were Hon. Isiaka Salami Olalekan Obe, Hon. Ebun Popoola, Mrs Sinmiat Bamidele, Mrs Ogunbode, Mr Isiaka Olalekan and others.
