The people of Ibarapa in Oyo State have challenged Governor Seyi Makinde on alleged marginalization of the zone in his government.
AK Leruwa made their annoyance known to Makinde in a release signed on behalf of Ibarapa Concerned Youths.
According to him, “Oyo state is incomplete without the inclusion of Ibarapa zone. We can’t take this total negligence anymore. No roads network is motorable anymore across Ibarapa Land. The roads are now a death trap.
“Your excellency sir, kindly loose the apron string you used to tired Local government from performing their constitutional responsibilities. Security of lives & properties is a must to any government but reverse is the case to us in Ibarapa zone.
“Thanks for reconstructing the Lanlate entrance bridge, yet there are still collapsed many bridges within the towns that call for reconstruction, the said Lanlate entrance bridge is due for opening or you still want to commission it before it will be put to usage? Dear GSM, Ibarapa Land yet to gain meaningfully from this government.
” The suffering is unbearable…..We find it difficult to move our agricultural products to markets, our vehicles are quickly running into wear & tear, lives are being lost due to accidents on our trap roads.
“Do something tangible NOW!”, Leruwa enjoined the Governor
