The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Hon. Sanusi Musibau SHABA has commended the Executive Governor of the pacesetter state, His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde efforts on constructions and rehabilitations of major roads in the council areas.
Hon. Sanusi made this known during the stakeholders meeting on olorunsogo/Dagbolu road construction held at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Akanran Ibadan.
The council boss however appealed to the residents of the areas to exercise more patience and join hands together in making the plight less stressful. Adding that the Governor is ready to rehablitate alternate routes to make it more easier for the people.
Hon. Sanusi stated that the work will resume on the road in a week time and implored the residents to cooperate with the contractors and the security operatives.
He frowns at the attitudes of tricycles and okada riders at the Tioya bridge boarders as well as traders to as a matter of urgency pave ways for commutters plying the two pedestrians bridges.
In his speech, the Chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Engr. Dotun Sanusi commended the Governor’s efforts in making life more meaningful by embarking on social infrastructures projects across the state and urged the contractors handling olorunsogo/Amuloko/Dagbolu roads to be ups and downs in handling the projects.
The Commissioner for Works and Transport, Prof. Daoud Sangodoyin while speaking through the Oniladuntan of Laduntan, Oba Kamorudeen Adebowale, tendered unreserved apologies to the people of Ona Ara and enjoined them to exercise more patience as the works commenced soon.
Prof. Sangodoyin noted that the feeder roads will be fixed within short period for easier transportation and comfortability of the masses.
The meeting which was 3rd of its kind had in attendance, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs Oyeronke Idowu, Director of Admin, Mrs Adekunle M. O, Director of Finance and Supplies, Mr. Adebunmi I. A, supervisory Councillors, Special Assistants, Traditional Rulers, Religious and political stalwarts, Communities Leaders, Hotelier’s Association, security agents, Artisans and youths.
