2023: APC Can’t Have 30% Of Total Votes In Oyo — Makinde DDG, Otope Boasts

Sequel to acclaimed unprecedented achievements of Governor Seyi Makinde in Oyo State, Hon. Ezekiel Temitope(Otope), The Deputy Director General, PDP Oyo Central has said that APC cannot garner 30% of the total votes at the general elections slated for 2023.

Otope made this disclosure in Ibadan, the state capital during an interactive session with the crew of naijatodaynew.com

Otope who was an aspirant for Egbeda/OnaAra Federal Constituency stressed that the feats recorded by Makinde in his last three years of administration have no doubt qualified him for reelection without any hindrance.

He substantiated that Makinde’s impacts have been felt on regular payment of salaries to teachers and pensioners, infrastructures across the state, giant strides in education, health, agric business and what a view.

Otope however asked Senator Teslim Folarin, Oyo APC gubernatorial candidate for 2023 not stress himself more than necessary about his mission to take the seat from the incumbent governor, adding that Makinde’s quest for second term of office is defendable by the blind and deaf.

On his assignment as the Deputy Director General for PDP Oyo Central, Otope reiterated that his focus is centred on how to ensure that Makinde comes in for second term, stressing that, part of the task is to makesure that some aggrieved APC members who are willing to come to PDP are integrated on time.

As regards his legislative aspiration and choice of Hon. Busari Olayemi for Egbeda/OnaAra Federal Constituency, Otope noted that Makinde and leaders across the constituency had their better reasons of choosing the preferred candidate above the others, adding that they see better than he sees and he believes that the decision taken was for overall interest of the party.

In another vein, Otope maintained that he embarked on empowerment programmes with a view to ensuring that poverty, hardship and starvation are brought to a bearest minimum among the people.

Adding that the programmes which he had embarked upon for so many years are not politically motivated, but out of desires and kindness to lift people out of poverty.

Otope said he was grateful that the empowerment programmes are having positive impacts on the lives of the beneficiaries, maintaining that he is not regretful doing that and he would continue to do more as he lives.
