Former Director General Oyo State Liaison Office, Abuja and People’s Democratic Party, PDP Candidate for Egbeda/OnaAra Federal Constituency, Oyo State, Hon. Busari Olayemi mourned passage of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III and however described him as first class yoruba historian, encyclopedia and custodian of yoruba cultural heritage.
Olayemi who intends to represent the constituency at the Green Chamber of National Assembly come 2023 in a statement he personally signed in Ibadan and made available pressmen showed his grief over the the death of foremost monarch, which he said to have received with rude shock.
Ex member of Oyo House of Assembly and House of Representatives stressed that Alaafin’s death occurred at a time Oyo state needs his pool of experience, knowledge and skills to reshape political, economic and all round developments associating with pacesetter state.
Olayemi sympathised with the family of Alaafin, the entire people of Oyo town and the Yoruba descendants in Nigeria and abroad over demise which he claimed happening unexpectedly.
In his grief, he condoled with the people of Oyo town, the family of Alaafin and the entire descendants of Yoruba nation in Nigeria and diaspora on the death of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Iku Baba yeye.
He maintained that Oba Adeyemi’s death came at a time when the people of the state are anxiously in need of his wealth of experience to reshape and strengthen economic and political activities in our dear state.
Not only that but also stressed that he would be greatly and sorely missed on narration of objective history relating with the source of Yoruba land, cultures and traditions among others.
