The Former Minister of Communication, Adebayo Shittu and Ex-Chairman of Oyo State Teaching Service Commission(TESCOM), Abu Gbadamosi have led the convergence and meeting of Unity Forum Delegates held at the residence of Senator Adesoji Akanbi in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The meeting was said to be premised on readiness of Unity Forum in All Progressives Congress (APC) to allow unity and oneness of all in the party across the state and Nigeria at large.
According to the statement,”on Tuesday, 15th September 2020, Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi hosted delegates of APC unity forum in his house”.
“The meeting which had in attendance two delegates from each Local Government was led by the Chairman of the forum, Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi of Kajola Local Government”.
“After a long deliberation, it was agreed that peace and oneness of the party is the way out towards revivifying the strength of the party”.
“The delegates were urged to keep up with their sincerity of purpose in troubleshooting differences within the party and should therefore go back to their respective wards and zones to preach unity and oneness, reinvigorating the party”.
“The delegates unanimously commended the efforts of the National Reconciliation Committee under the leadership of Jigawa state Governor, His Excellency, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar; for their unrelenting moves towards unifying the party”.
“They further applauded the party stakeholders from Oyo state who attended the reconciliation meeting in Abuja and commended them for putting Oyo APC at the front burner”,the statement expressed
