The former Vice President, in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of International Youth Day, 2020, pledges his undying support towards youths developments as he felicitates with young ones across the globe.
In his speech, he saluted Nigerian youths and acknowledges their commitment and perseverance in pursuing a greater Nigeria.
In relation to this year’s theme of the anniversary, ‘Youths Engagement for Global Action’, he pointed out the global view of young people as regards their stake in sustaining the globe.
The 2019 Presidential aspirant revealed he has been a step forward in this global view of young ones as he earlier informed in 2019 of his decision to include 40% youth in his presidential campaign, and also promised to remain committed to the cause.
Atiku Abubakar in his speech enjoined youth with the responsibility to strictly follow the COVID-19 measures against infection and spread of the virus, says; “The vigour and spirit that you embody as youth will play a crucial role in the socio-economic survival of the world, and its rejuvenation, post-covid-19.
He as well admonished all young ones to embrace peace and patriotism at all levels, kick against nepotism and promote competence over all forms of sentiments.
