Following the promise that the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde kept on provision of palliatives to cushion the effects of coronavirus pestilence that orchestrated the partial lockdown in the state, The Caretaker Chairman, Iseyin South, Local Council Development Area(LCDA), Hon. Abdul-Raheem Ajibola FM has lauded the Governor, equally described him a go getter and outstanding leader.
FM at Iseyin City Hall on Thursday , May 7th showered words of encomium, glorification and appreciation on Makinde at the flagging off ceremony and distribution of the relief materials.
He said that the programme, flagged off by Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha, PDP State Chairman centred on Oke-Ogun1: comprises Atisbo, Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Iwajowa and Kajola Local Governments was moderated by the ace broadcaster, Mr Oriyomi Hamzat.
While representing the Governor, FM said he and Hon. Muftau Osuolale Abilawon, Chairman, Iseyin Local Government represented Governor Seyi Makinde and simultaneously lauded and appreciated him for keeping to his promise on palliatives’ distribution to cushion the effects of coronavirus pandemic that triggers partial lockdown in the state.
While speaking further, FM reiterated that Makinde remains a go getter and outstanding leader who usually walks his talk, stressing that the governor needed to be glorified because he had fulfilled the promise made sometimes in the past.
He said that the distribution of relief materials aimed at reaching the acknowledged and identified recipients in the communities had been justly, fairly and equitably allocated.
On conditions that warranted the distribution of palliatives, FM said that he had recently spoken on Makinde’s promise and readiness to make palliatives as alternative means to mitigate the negative effects of Covid-19, stressing that his fulfilment of promise justifies that he cares absolutely for the good people of Oyo State.
He said there was no gainsaying in the fact that the outbreak and prevalence of coronavirus pestilence in Oyo State and Nigeria at large had no doubt triggered the governments’ directives of compulsory lockdown, adding that for people to adhere strictly to directives of stay home, provision should be made for their relief items.
FM said, as Makinde had made provision for the palliative measures as strict compliance with partial lockdown in the state would no doubt generate any sentiment nor difficulty.
He called on all and sundry to have firm belief in Governor Seyi Makinde led administration and PDP as a party, stressing that coronavirus pandemic could never hinder the possibility of fulfilling all promises.
FM reiterated that Covid-19 is real, enjoining people to keep to all hygienic and precautionary measures against the pernicious disease.
