Sequel to concerted efforts and financial commitment being put in place by Human Right Activist, Sunday Adeyemo fondly called ‘Sunday Igboho’ to ensure that Dalag-Soka Road in Ibadan, Oyo State becomes motorable, Community Leaders in the area have been showering encomiums and appreciation on philanthropist, based on his readiness to facilitate the fruition of the social responsibility.
Sunday Igboho has turned Dalag-Soka Road, which had been in moribund and deplorable condition for the past twenty years to a motorable one, as standard construction has started on it.
The construction which began on the said road on Thursday, April 30 has gotten attention of community leaders and passers by who hide no feelings to show appreciation and reigning of wholehearted prayers on the facilitator.
Sunday Igboho in an exclusive interview with Naija Today News disclosed that the ongoing construction of road was an act, passion and readiness to bring relief to the motorists and pedestrians who have been plying the road for so many years despite its deplorable condition.
He added that countless numbers of accidents had happened on the road, stressing that the only way to put a stop to incessant accidents as a result of its deplorable condition is to make it motorable.
A community leader, Akano Akinyemi said that he had no belief of information he was fed with about the ongoing construction of the road, not until he made his presence to the place, adding that he was pleased and joyful when he got the place and acknowledged that the road is under Construction.
Akinyemi said that the road of 1kilometre had been in a sorry state for the past twenty years, stressing that many a times he had plied the road while his motor’s tyres would be rolling on a spot.
He enjoined the contractor to give a standard construction, perfect drainage because its eventual completion would give the motorists and motorcyclists the easy access and linkage with Sanyo, Boluwaji and Iwo-road among other routes.
In a similar development, another community leader and a member of landlords’ association residing in the area, Alhaji Sheu Ahmad Tijani Balogun Alagolo has equally showered an encomium and appreciation on Sunday Igboho for considering it important and necessary to make the road motorable for their use.
Alagolo toed the path of Akinyemi who lamented that the road had been in a sorry state for the past twenty years, adding that they were happy that the road becomes better useful through an intervention and financial commitment of the philanthropist.
He prayed that God Almighty would continue to assist, guide, guard and bless him the more.
