The Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, former minority leader of Oyo state house of assembly, Hon Ademola Ige, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo council on Thursday mourned the passing of the commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources in the state, Rt Hon. Kehinde Ayoola.
Naija TODAY News recalls that Ayoola, a former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly who died on Thursday was until his death, the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources.
Ogundoyin while reacting in a statement made available to Naija TODAY News expressed grief over the death of Ayoola.
He described the late Ayoola as a hardworking man with a selfless personality, who always offered his time, expertise, and resources when needed by anyone around him.
He said, “My brother Barrister Ayoola was a great asset to us as a former lawmaker and speaker at the Oyo State House of Assembly and also as a serving member of Governor Makinde’s cabinet.
“You served the State well and loved your people with all you had when you were alive. It saddens that death took you away when the State needed you more. May your rest in peace and may God grant your family, political associates, and the entire State fortitude to bear this loss”.
In his own reaction, SA on Tourism and Culture to Oyo State governor, former minority leader of Oyo State House of Assembly represented Ib Southeast constituency 2 and Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Hon Ademola Ige, on Friday, he described the late Rt Hon Kehinde Ayoola as a vibrant and loyal party Man whose death came as a shock. SA to governor Seyi Makinde on Tourism and Culture, Hon Ademola Ige, has condoled with with Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi; the people of Oyo state and government of Oyo state over the demise of Rt Hon Kehinde Ayoola.
“News of the death of Rt Hon Kehinde Ayoola came as a great shock. He was a vibrant Man and dedicated public servant,” Ige said.He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, and for God to comfort those he left behind.“I also pray that God grants her family, Oyo state government and the people of Oyo state the fortitude to bear the loss.”
The NUJ in its reaction condoled Makinde; Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi; family, friends and political associates of the late Commissioner.
The union in a statement signed by the duo of Comrades Ademola Babalola and Sola Oladapo, Chairman and Secretary respectively, urged the Governor to take heart and be consoled that the late politician lived a life worthy of emulation.
NUJ said, “Ayoola was a vibrant, enigmatic, resourceful, diligent and cerebral politician whose demise was one death too many for the Pacesetters State.
“He will sorely be missed as a member of Governor Makinde’s think tank team. He was a fine gentleman and encyclopedia of Oyo politics since the reign of late former Governor Bola Ige.
