The Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has approved a sum of ten million naira(#10M) for each local government as welfare packages for indigent Islamic faithfuls within the council area to enable them to commemorate the forthcoming Ileya Festival.
This was contained in a circular emanated from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
The circular was confirmed, signed by the Director, Local Government Affairs, T.N. Mustapha and made available to all 33 executive chairmen across the state.
He enjoined the council bosses to expend the fund on the intended purpose.
