The Lawmaker representing Oyo East/West State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Isiaka Kazeem Tunde Arole has sponsored the registration of 150 candidates in his constituency for this year’s(2021) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The data capturing and thumb printing of first batch out of 150 candidates had started for almost two weeks at the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education (EACOED) and Atiba University in Oyo and will last till the closure of official website of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board(JAMB).
Arole while speaking with the crew of naijatodaynews.com disclosed that it is a yearly event and this year (2021) will be tagged ” AROLE Education Support Programme 2021″, while 150 candidates will be the beneficiaries.
In his words, ” in an effort to promote educational advancement of our youths in Oyo East/West Constituency, data capturing and thumb printing of candidates commenced, while wishing them successful outing. First Batch out of 150 candidates at EACOED and Atiba University registration centres”, said Arole.
In his furtherance, Arole said that the purpose of sponsorship and free registration to 150 candidates in his constituency was premised on purpose to expose the students to university education and choice of preferred courses of study.
He revealed that the programme has become yearly event, while 150 candidates would be benefited this year.
He reiterated that while the programme started in 2019, 30 candidates were the beneficiaries and 70 candidates benefited in 2020 edition of the exercise.
The Lawmaker who is also the Chairman House Committee on Culture and Tourism wished the candidates a successful outing and also charged them to prepare adequately for the examination slated for the subsequent time.
