ELECTIONS: Party Primaries Mark Starts Of Strategic Mobilization For 2027 — Oyo APM Youth Leader, Olumide Ojo Congratulates Makinde, Adekanmbi

IBADAN, Oyo State – The Oyo State Youth Leader of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Ambassador Olumide Ojo, has congratulated all candidates of the party who emerged victorious in the just concluded primaries, describing the exercise as a watershed moment that sets the tone for a purposeful and strategic campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen in Ibadan, Amb. Olumide commended the peaceful, transparent, and participatory conduct of the primaries across the state. He said the outcome reflects the growing internal cohesion within APM and the confidence of party faithfuls in the capacity of those entrusted with the party’s mandate.

The youth leader particularly applauded the emergence of His Excellency, Governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE, as the APM National Leader and presidential candidate for the 2027 elections. Ambassador Ojo described the development as a resounding vote of confidence in the governor’s leadership capacity, political experience, and proven record of service.

“Governor Makinde’s emergence as our National Leader and presidential candidate is not accidental. It is a clear affirmation of his sterling leadership, his people-oriented governance style, and the political goodwill he commands across Nigeria. The party is confident that under his leadership, APM will offer Nigerians a credible alternative anchored on competence, inclusivity, and development,” he stated.

Amb. Olumide also congratulated Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi on his emergence as the APM governorship candidate in Oyo State. He expressed strong optimism that under Hon. Adekanmbi’s leadership, the party would consolidate its grassroots appeal and gain wider acceptance across the 33 local government areas of the state.

“Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi is a seasoned administrator with a deep understanding of governance and public policy. His candidacy strengthens APM’s vision for Oyo State and I am confident that the party will continue to expand its base and resonate with the aspirations of our people,” the youth leader added.

He further extended his congratulations to all senatorial, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly candidates who secured the party’s tickets during the primaries. Amb. Olumide Ojo urged them to remain steadfast, disciplined, and committed to the ideals, manifesto, and vision of the Allied Peoples’ Movement as they prepare for the general elections.

According to him, the successful conclusion of the primaries marks the beginning of a new phase of unity, collaboration, and strategic mobilization within the party. He emphasized that the focus must now shift to aggressive grassroots engagement, voter education, and issue-based campaigning that highlights APM’s plans for economic growth, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and social welfare.

“The primaries are over, and the real work begins now. This is the season for us to close ranks, strengthen our structures from the ward level upward, and present a united front to the electorate. Our candidates must lead with vision, humility, and a clear message of hope. With unity and determination, APM will make a significant impact in 2027,” Amb. Olumide Ojo said.

He called on APM members, youth groups, women leaders, and supporters across Oyo State to rally behind all the party’s candidates, stressing that collective effort and sustained mobilization would be critical to achieving electoral victory. He reiterated the youth wing’s readiness to lead strategic campaigns, community outreach, and digital mobilization to ensure the party’s message reaches every household.

With the primaries concluded, the Allied Peoples’ Movement in Oyo State is now positioning itself for full-scale campaign activities, with party leaders expressing confidence that the array of experienced candidates and a unified structure will place APM in a strong position ahead of the 2027 polls.
