Residents of several communities in Ward 1 of Ibadan North Federal Constituency have expressed deep appreciation and relief following the complete reconstruction of a key passage link bridge by the federal lawmaker representing the constituency, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON).

The communities—Ayope, Binkonu, Ajiwogbo, Opeolu, and Oke Mokankan—described the project as a long-awaited intervention that has restored safe and easy movement within the area. According to residents, the bridge had, for years, been in a deplorable state and was on the verge of collapse, posing a serious threat to lives and property.

Speaking on the development, community members noted that what once seemed impossible became a reality shortly after a formal request was made to Hon. Oyekunle. They commended the lawmaker for his swift response and commitment to addressing their needs.

Upon receiving the request letter, Hon. Oyekunle reportedly ordered the immediate reconstruction of the bridge, upgrading it into a durable concrete structure. The project has now been completed and officially opened for public use.

Residents say the new bridge will not only enhance connectivity among the affected communities but also improve economic activities and daily commuting, while ensuring the safety of pedestrians and motorists.
The reconstruction is seen as part of Hon.

The federal lawmaker’s ongoing efforts to deliver impactful infrastructure and improve the quality of life for constituents across Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
