An aspirant for the House of Representatives seat for the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, has called on Christians to use the occasion of Good Friday to reflect on the enduring virtues of sacrifice, love, humility, and selfless service as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

Adedeji made the call in a message to commemorate Good Friday, urging Christians across Ido and Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large to draw inspiration from the significance of the day in strengthening unity, compassion, and peaceful coexistence in society.

According to him, Good Friday represents a solemn moment in the Christian faith, reminding humanity of the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ for the redemption of mankind.
He noted that the lessons embedded in the crucifixion of Christ remain relevant in addressing contemporary societal challenges, particularly the need for greater empathy, kindness, and commitment to the welfare of others.

“Good Friday reminds us that true leadership and humanity are deeply rooted in selfless service, compassion, and the willingness to make sacrifices for the collective good,” he said.

Adedeji further urged Nigerians to allow the spiritual significance of the season to inspire acts of love and support for the vulnerable, while also fostering unity within communities.
“As we commemorate this sacred day, it is important that we strengthen the bonds of love in our communities, uplift the vulnerable, and remain committed to building a peaceful, united, and prosperous society,” he added.
The federal lawmaker hopeful also prayed that the message of Good Friday would renew faith, deepen hope, and guide individuals toward greater service to humanity.
He wished Christians a reflective and blessed Good Friday as they prepare for the celebration of Easter.
