HRM Oba Francis Olusola Alao, the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oyo State, has extended his warmest Easter greetings to Christians in Orile-Igbon and the entire Ogbomoso Zone of Oyo State, as they commemorate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In a statement issued on this sacred occasion, Oba Alao emphasized the significance of Easter, describing it as a period to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who shed his blood on the cross for the redemption of humanity. He urged Nigerians to emulate Christ’s virtues of love, compassion, and selflessness, and to support government initiatives aimed at promoting peace, security, and development in their communities.

The Olugbon specifically referenced the Oyo State Government’s SAFER Agenda and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, calling on citizens to rally behind these programs to create a safer, more prosperous, and harmonious society for all.
“Easter is a time for us to recommit ourselves to the values of love, kindness, and generosity,” Oba Alao said. “Let us strive to create a society where everyone feels valued, protected, and empowered to contribute to the growth and development of our nation.”

He prayed for wisdom for Nigerian leaders, peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths, and the realization of the nation’s collective aspirations.

“Easter is a celebration of hope, renewal, and redemption,” the Olugbon concluded. “May the spirit of Christ’s sacrifice inspire us to build a more just, equitable, and peaceful society, and may God bless Nigeria with prosperity, peace, and harmony.”
The Olugbon’s Easter message has been widely welcomed by Christians and people of other faiths in Oyo State and beyond, who have expressed their appreciation for his commitment to promoting unity, peace, and development in the region.
