Residents of Ibadan North Federal Constituency have been urged to take advantage of an ongoing free health insurance enrollment facilitated by the lawmaker representing the constituency, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), in partnership with the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OSHIA).
The initiative is designed to expand access to quality and affordable healthcare by enrolling constituents into the state’s health insurance scheme at no cost, offering beneficiaries a full one-year package of medical coverage.
According to the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the lawmaker, Akinwale Bodija, the intervention is a deliberate effort to prioritize the health and wellbeing of constituents, particularly those who are most in need.
“This health insurance scheme is not political in any way. It is strictly a humanitarian intervention aimed at supporting those who genuinely need access to healthcare. Priority will be given to the most vulnerable residents within the constituency,” Bodija stated.
He further emphasized that the package covers one full year of free medical services, including consultations, routine check-ups, medications, and necessary surgical procedures, ensuring that beneficiaries receive comprehensive care without financial burden.
Bodija added that the enrollment process is already underway, with designated contacts available to guide interested residents through a smooth and transparent registration process.
The initiative underscores Hon. Oyekunle’s commitment to delivering people-centered interventions, using strategic partnerships to improve access to essential services and enhance the quality of life for residents of Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
