Oyo ALGON Chairman, Sanda Sikiru, Commissions Renovated Multipurpose Hall, Renames Facility After Oyo First Lady

In another significant stride toward infrastructural development in Egbeda Local Government, the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government and Chairman of the All Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has commissioned the newly renovated and remodelled Multipurpose Hall within SDP premises, Gbagi, Old Ife road, Egbeda local government.

‎The upgraded facility, now renamed Tamunominini Multipurpose Hall, was officially commissioned by the First Lady of Oyo State, Her Excellency, Engr. Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, whose presence added honour and prestige to the historic occasion.

‎Delivering his welcome address, Hon. Sanda warmly received the First Lady and other distinguished guests, noting that the remodelling of the hall reflects the unwavering commitment of the Egbeda Local Government administration to infrastructural development, improved public facilities, and the creation of a conducive environment for community programmes and official functions.

‎The newly renovated structure stands as a symbol of commitment, progress, and dedication to the people of Egbeda Local Government, further demonstrating the council’s resolve to continue implementing people-oriented projects that uplift communities and drive sustainable development.

‎In her remarks, the First Lady of Oyo State commended Hon. Sanda for his commitment to improving public infrastructure and urged chairmen of other local governments across the state to emulate the laudable initiative.

‎She further noted that providing a conducive and dignified environment for the solemnization of marriages underscores the importance placed on the sacred institution of marriage, which serves as the foundation for stable and healthy families.

‎Her Excellency also highlighted the benefits of the state’s health insurance scheme, noting that elderly citizens can take advantage of early detection and effective management of illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, and arthritis through the programme.

‎Engr. Tamunominini Makinde praised the Egbeda Local Government Chairman for the thoughtful initiatives, stating that such efforts will greatly benefit the people of Egbeda and contribute to building stronger and healthier communities.

‎At the event, 250 people were also enrolled under the Oyo State Health Insurance Scheme, which will ensure that they have access to quality healthcare ,at subsidized rate.
