A Year Of Impact: Bibire Salutes (7) LG Chairmen For Their Dedication To Grassroots Development

As local government chairmen across Oyo State mark their one-year anniversary in office, Hon. Kazim Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire, a former Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters and Ibadan North federal house of representative hopeful, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to seven council bosses. In a statement issued in Ibadan on Saturday, Bibire lauded the chairmen of Egbeda, Lagelu, Oluyole, Akinyele, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa North, and Ido Local Governments for their strides in governance, development, and people-oriented programs.

The celebrated chairmen include Hon. Sanda Sikiru (Egbeda Local Government), Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen (Lagelu Local Government), Hon. Akeem Olatunji (Oluyole Local Government), Hon. Akinwole Akinleye (Akinyele Local Government), Hon. Olusola Adeleke (Ibarapa Central Local Government), Hon. Lawal Lateef Akorede (Ibarapa North Local Government), and Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo (Ido Local Government). Bibire praised the chairmen for aligning with the vision of Governor Seyi Makinde in bringing effective governance to the grassroots, noting that their first year in office has shown their capacity for leadership and service delivery.

“Your performance over the past year is commendable and worthy of recognition,” Bibire stated. “You have each demonstrated resilience, vision, and a genuine commitment to the welfare of your people. I have no doubt that the years ahead will bring even greater progress under your stewardship.” The former aide further encouraged the chairmen to remain focused, urging them to continue implementing policies that will improve the standard of living in their various domains.

The council bosses were sworn into office on May 24, 2024, following the local government elections held on April 27, 2024.
